"I Saw DC" Film Release
Thursday, August 8th, 6:30-8pm

"Thank you for contacting us about information for I SAW! DC's youth film
release!

We are summer youth researchers, all DC residents, ages 14 to 21 years old uncovering the significance of DC's early 19th century African American community in Georgetown and its extended areas of Washington, D.C.

Our youth led summer community based education research project highlights that  'resilience is a creative power' in themes relating to the legacy of one of DC's oldest communities, African Americans, and their often unheralded contributions to the nation's capital.

Our field research sites involve the Mt. Zion church community and the 15th Street Presbyterian Church community. We are celebrating their legacy with a documentary video and a research presentation exclusively produced by us, I SAW! DC youths.   We hope you enjoy what we did this summer!"

Thank you,
I SAW! DC Youth
